Seizures Not all seizures mean epilepsy. It is important to first rule out any underlying causes for seizures. These are done with blood tests normally. Seizures that are related to a condition are called Secondary Epilepsy. Seizures that cannot be determined or linked to a cause are called Idiopathic Epilepsy. Idiopatic epilepsy is also called True, Primary or Inheirited epilepsy.
